Recycled Instruments Workshop with Kin'Gongolo Kiniata
Kingongolo Kiniata represents a new generation of musicians from Kinshasa. Their work
involves recycling waste that pollutes the environment of Kinshasa to create musical
instruments and raise awareness about environmental protection, as well as discussing
societal issues. This ecological art approach serves as a means for them to participate in
environmental preservation, one of the three pillars of sustainable development.
The artists propose a unique workshop consisting of:
- Recycling and creating musical instruments.
- Performing a show with the instruments created during the workshop.
Please bring your own waste materials: plastic waste, metal waste, plates and pots, boards, pieces of wood,
etc.
