Cabaret Voltaire presents a brand new bargain comedy night for Cornwall: 4 comedians on the bill for £14!
Swoon: the first event is headlined by Tom Rosenthal, an award-winning comedian, actor, writer and TV presenter best known for his work in the Emmy/BAFTA winning Friday Night Dinner (C4) and Plebs (ITV), which both set records for the highest audience and ratings for any comedy on their channels.
Tom is also known for his excellent roles in Lloyd of the Flies, Broadchurch (ITV), Dad’s Army – The Lost Episodes (Gold), Bridget Jones’ Baby (2016) and Operation Fortune (2023).
As a stand
up comedian Tom’s relaxed
demeanour and sharply written punchlines have received critical acclaim. His stand-up show, Manhood, toured around the UK to rave reviews and received high praise at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
He's shortly to go an a massive UK tour, so who knows, we might get to hear some of the new material.Tom has also appeared on Comedy Central’s Drunk History and Roast Battle as well as 8 Out Of 10 Cats, The Last Leg, The Great Pottery Throwdown (C4), Celebrity Catchphrase (ITV), Pointless Celebrities, The Weakest Link, Richard Osman’s House of Games (BBC), Battle in the Box (U&Dave), Banged Up (C4) and Pilgrimage (BBC).
Your host is Mimi who won Cornwall Comedian of the Year 2022 on just her third gig. She discovered she loves making people smile, so she kept going. With her ukulele, she mixes her ditties with stand-up, sharing sharp but playful observations. Expect charm, whimsy, and possibly a singalong you weren’t prepared for.
